No Hanging
This piece is in honor of all those we lost and is dedicated to my big brother Tyree “Wiggles” Wallace. Growing up in Philly, basketball and the streets teach you a lot about life. Ty was one of the nicest ballplayers I knew, from the block, Bennies, Roman, to Arcadia. He was that person who looked out for you even when you didn't know you needed it. I can still hear the last words he spoke to me just days before his life was taken, “So you got a birthday coming up. Since we both in town, we are doing something”.
On December 22, 2005 I remember walking to my grandma's house and looking down 66th seeing lights and feeling something in the pit of my gut. Only to learn it was you they took. The holidays haven't been the same sense.
In life we must make the most of the time given even if that means we miss some shots or have to pass the ball. Hanging on the rim won’t stop the clock or slow time, so keep playing until the buzzer. Love you bro and all the fallen.
